Determining Your Business Priorities
Write down all your goals that you want to achieve by the end of the year.
- Update SEO on all platforms
- Work on Instagram following
- Create new product line
- Work on branding for packages
Next, read over all of the goals that you have written down, and cross of the ones that don't make you money. Not saying that you should get rid of those goals all together, but simply prioritize them. Cross off the goals that you don't have to get done right away.
- If you are wanting to start a e-mail list but you don't have a lot of people who are following you. In that case I would work on finding out why you don't have a lot of followers. It could simply be your listings, such as your SEO, photos, or your descriptions. Once you have updated you listings, then I would start working on getting people to sign up for your e-mail list. When writing down all the goals you want to accomplish, I would suggest that you first write them down on a notepad like this.

Being Accountable For Your Goals
Somethings on your goal list don't have to be done right away and can be done throughout the year. Such as : Fixing your SEO on all platforms. Yes, your SEO should be up to date, but don't work on all of your listings in one day trying to get them perfect. Set aside a day in the week that you will work on 2-3 listings for SEO. Know the difference between a goal list and a to-do list. A to-do list is something that you can work on throughout the year. A goal list is something that you want to achieve by a certain time frame. If you have problems with staying focused on one task/goal at a time then I would suggest that you get someone to hold you accountable.
If you have someone to remind you to stay on track with your goals, then you will get more done. Simply writing them down, doesn't make you accountable for them. If you are in the middle of a task and think of another goal you want to do, then write it down so you can do it another time. You want to focus on one task or goal at a time. A accountability partner is someone who you share your goals and tasks with. They will hold you accountable for finishing your tasks, and even if you don't finish them. A good accountability partner will talk to you everyday, first thing in the morning before you start your work day. They will ask you what your goals are for that day and how you plan to get those accomplished. At the end of the day you will discuss what goals you were able to complete and which ones you were not able to and why.
Make sure that whoever you choose to be your accountability partner will encourage and motivate you to complete your tasks. Not someone who will scold you because you didn't finish your goals for the day. If you are having problems finding someone that will be your accountability partner, then I would suggest that you ask the Facebook group. That is why they are there, to help other sellers and to learn.
Keep A Distraction List
If you find your self being distracted while you are in the middle of a task or goal, write down what distracted you from that goal.
- If you get a message from a customer while working on a goal, make sure you write down who messaged you so that way you can respond after you are finished with that task.
It's okay to have a long distraction list. I know that you sometimes get a good idea for a product line or a new idea for marketing, but its important that you work on one goal at a time. You don't want to be in the middle of a goal and see that you received a message from a customer and simply think that you'll remember to respond to them. That way if you finish that task the same day, you can go back to your distraction list and complete somethings that are on there as well.
When writing down your goals I would recommend that you get a calendar to help you organize what goals you want to do on certain days.
